Wild Sky Gear was founded by Skye McGregor, a British teenager who at just 15 years old set out to hike from Land’s End to John O’Groats solo — in winter. To keep his pack light, he made his own ultralight gear using high-performance materials and straightforward, functional designs. When fellow hikers asked where they could buy his gear, Wild Sky Gear was born.
We are now a small, independent UK business specialising in ultralight hiking gear made from Dyneema® Composite Fabric (DCF) — one of the world’s toughest, lightest, and most waterproof technical fabrics. All our products are designed, tested, and handmade in the UK, and shipped worldwide.
